In this workshop we discuss how to keep “Circle Time” (or whatever you call it) Developmentally Appropriate, engaging and fun for the children. We learn some songs and fingerplays and get silly! Participants also get to act out a circle time “gone bad”, and if they can stifle their laughter long enough, we discuss strategies on how to improve the experience for the children and their teachers.

Participants re-enact a Circle Time gone wrong.
I demonstrate “Jack in the Box” and get a lot of laughs.
I make a silly statement about Darth Vader to show participants that children crave feeling powerful and are attracted to powerful characters.
