In this presentation or workshop we discuss how self-directed play increases Joy! We discuss the research about the decline in play and the rise in childhood mental disorders and the science of joy. Then we discuss how to increase joy at home, in our classrooms, among the children in our care, and within ourselves. If we keep play and joy the center of our work with children we will successfully help raise “Generation Joy”! This workshop is great for parents or caregivers with young children, child care/preschool staff, and anyone with a young child in their life!
