In this workshop we discuss why the process is so much more important than the product when it comes to children’s art. We see examples of beautiful art made by children through an open-ended process. Often you get brownish/greenish blobs of paint that rips through the paper when you allow for open-ended art and that is OK! However, in this workshop we will learn how to allow the child full ownership over their art work, allow them their process, and still usually have a beautiful “fridge worthy” piece of art to take home. Participants also learn to make a variety of paintbrushes and art materials from common items found around your program.
Below is a video from this workshop.
